Class begins on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 7:30 AM - 8:45 AM EST. Class begins Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM EST.
Join us for Part 4 of our study of the book of John: Willing Sacrifice – Risen Savior. This session will explore John chapters 18-21, focusing on Jesus' final week, including His arrest, crucifixion, and resurrection. We'll also compare the book of John with the three synoptic gospels. As a believer, do you ever wonder why there is so much division in the church or why sin is sometimes tolerated? The Corinthian believers had these same questions. Paul addressed these issues head-on, including topics like marriage, divorce, remarriage, speaking in tongues, prophecy, and giving. But Paul doesn’t stop there! He also teaches us about the essence of ministry and how to carry it out, especially when facing conflict, accusation, persecution, and despair. You'll learn how to pray by understanding God's will and how to demonstrate to the world that we are His disciples through our love for one another. Before Israel had kings, God, the true King of Israel, assigned and appointed judges to lead the people.
In the book of Samuel, we explore Israel's transition from being led by judges to being led by kings through the experiences and perspective of the prophet Samuel. From Samuel's birth to his divine calling, we witness Israel's rejection of God as their true king and their request for a human king instead. The book of Samuel presents both familiar and lesser-known stories of its first two kings: Saul and David.
